Learning on the way

Do you boldly declare the Gospel (using words to declare the message) or do you shrink back from it? What hinders you from sharing the Gospel with others? What situations do you find it most difficult to share the Gospel in?

How are you feeling in your service to the Lord? Talk about some discouragements you are facing. Talk about some encouraging things you are seeing in your ministry. Describe how your encouragements and discouragements are based on Scripture or worldly standards of determining whether your service for the Lord is “substantive (not in vain).”

How are you doing in tempering your boldness in the Gospel with gentleness and affection? Describe how your zeal for God flows out into acts of love and service to others, especially your brothers and sisters in Christ (be specific). How are you sharing yourself with others?

If someone were to assess your service to the Lord, would they say that you are Gospel focused? Is the content of your ministry based on what Christ has done or on what you, or others, should do? Talk about some ways we can become more Gospel focused and guard against legalism (a ministry focused on works instead of Christ).
