Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of the Levitical priesthood. The Levite priests taught people about God; Jesus brings us to God. The Levites offered sacrifices for sin; Jesus is the sacrifice. The Levites received God as their inheritance; Jesus gives us God as our inheritance.
And here’s the most beautiful part: Jesus took the curse we deserved and gave us the blessing we could never earn. Galatians 3:13 says, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree.'”
You don’t have to wonder if God can redeem your situation. He already has. At the cross, Jesus took your curse. He bore your judgment. He suffered your scattering. And in exchange, he offers you blessing, acceptance, and belonging.
Because of Jesus, you don’t have to run from God when you face consequences. You can draw near to him. You don’t have to wonder if you’re disqualified. You’re qualified through Christ. You don’t have to carry the weight of family dysfunction or past failures. Jesus has already carried it to the cross.
