Abraham received this promise around 1800 BC. Joshua 18 happened around 1400 BC. That’s four centuries of waiting – longer than the United States has existed as a nation. Four hundred years of people living and dying without seeing the complete fulfillment of God’s promise.

Yet when it finally happened, every single city name and boundary marker pulsed with excitement as the concrete fulfillment of what God had promised so long ago. Every place name was God’s way of saying, “I told you so. I always keep My word.”

Some of you have been waiting for something to change in your life for weeks, months, or years, and you’re frustrated. But God’s timeline often operates in centuries and generations, not just seasons. His faithfulness isn’t measured by our impatience but by His eternal perspective.

The question isn’t whether God will fulfill His promises – it’s whether you’ll trust Him while you wait.
