Strongholds survive by deception. They convince us we can’t live without them, that we’re alone in our struggle, that change is impossible. But when we have God’s Word ready in our hearts and minds, we can speak truth back to these lies immediately.
When anxiety says “You can’t handle this,” speak Philippians 4:13. When addiction says “You need this,” speak 1 Corinthians 10:13. When depression says “You’re worthless,” speak Psalm 139:14. This is why Scripture memory is so crucial – we need truth ready for battle.
