Sometimes God moves us closer to the very thing that seems impossible. Just as He positioned Israel at the edge of a flooding river, God often places us where we can see the challenge ahead clearly. This isn’t cruelty; it’s preparation. When God called me into ministry, He didn’t reveal the full scope of what lay ahead – planting a church with no money to reach people who had no money. Instead, He moved me step by step, positioning me to work with church plants, letting me see how it worked, building connections and understanding.

God’s positioning isn’t punishment; it’s preparation. He brings us to the edge so we can see what we’re about to face, building our faith and understanding before the moment of action arrives. The Israelites camped at the Jordan’s edge for three days, not as a delay, but as preparation for what God was about to do.
