Learning on The Way

David uses the language and forms of Canaanite worship to show that the God of Israel is superior to their gods, turning their own poetry against them. Can you think of any ways to redeem things from our culture in ways that will point to our God being superior to the things our culture worships?

Have you ever been guilty of creating a God that you can control? How has the God of the Bible broken out of the mold that you have made for Him? Share what that looked like with your group.

Share a time that you have experienced God’s silence. Have you ever thought of God’s silence as merciful? (Exodus 20:18-19)
