Of the five categories of followers where do you find yourself in following Jesus? What bout in other areas of your life? (Isolates-completely detached, bystanders-observers only, participants-engaged, activists-who feel strongly and act accordingly, both with and against leaders and diehards-deeply devoted)
What is the posture of your prayer life? Is it intense, casual, or non-existent? Or a mix of all three.
What is the “main thing” Paul describes in this passage that we need to keep the main thing? What are some things you have seen others or yourself try to make the main thing? How are you doing keeping the main thing the main thing in your life? How are we doing as a church? What can you do to ensure the main thing is kept the main thing at Church of the Way?
Do you desire to be filled with the fullness of God (be honest)? What steps do you take to ensure you are filled with His fullness? What steps do you take to ensure that Church on the Way is filled with the fullness of God?
What do you think is the connection between knowing good theology and truly experiencing God? Does your theology produce affection for God that flows out into love for others? Has your quest for good theology ever lead you away from loving others and being able to experience God’s love while loving others?
