Learning On The Way
We are given these spiritual gifts in heavenly places not material gifts in earthly places. Have you ever misunderstood what that meant? How have you seen this truth misapplied in your life or in the church? Understanding that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are these good gifts, explain what they have meant to you in your life.
Do you feel equipped to fight the spiritual battles that Paul mentions are in the “heavenly places?” If not, why do you think that is, especially considering we have been given spiritual blessings to fight with? Do you ever find yourself existing more in this earthly realm trying to fight against flesh and bone, against each other? How does this impact your relationships? What can you do to ensure those spiritual blessings are realized increasingly in your life?
Does knowing that before we were lost in Adam, we were possessed in Christ give you a sense of complacency, especially not feeling the need to pursue holiness? Does the same truth make you feel prideful? How can you combat those false feelings? How should you respond to that truth?
Does knowing that all those who were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world will be saved motivate you to evangelism and discipleship?
