Learning on The Way
Do you see the Gospel as something that brings people to Jesus and then moved on from in discipleship? How or why is that wrong thinking? How is the Gospel the center of all of the Christian’s life? Where do you fail in Gospel-centered living?
How does the hope of glory at Christ’s coming comfort you, even in your most difficult times? How should our hope cause us to hold fast to the Gospel? What are some other ways you are motivated by the hope of glory and the Gospel message.
What are some ways we can elevate tradition, both good and bad, above the Word of God? Should we even make use of good traditions? Why or why not? How can we avoid placing our confidence in anything other than Christ and His Word?
Are you fearful or anxious over the future? Where are you trusting more in yourself than God? Share those places of departure with your small group. Talk about how we can help one another stay anchored in the Gospel.
