Learning on the Way

When you reflect on your brothers and sisters in Christ at Church on the Way, does a profound sense of appreciation and joy fill your heart? If so, what specific aspects of their character or actions inspire this gratitude and joy? If not, what are the barriers that prevent you from experiencing these feelings toward your fellow believers, and why?

In what ways are you joined in gospel partnership with your fellow believers at Church on the Way? How about believers in other churches? What causes you to partner with them? Is it centered on the gospel?

Does the fellowship that you share with your brothers and sisters in Christ inspire you to become more like Christ or does it often lead to other outcomes? In what ways does it foster humility? In what ways does it foster unity? If it doesn’t consistently promote Christlikeness, then what changes can you initiate to foster this in your fellowship?

Discuss how the Philippians participate in Paul’s imprisonment, defense, and confirmation of the gospel. What does that teach us about the spiritual nature of the Christian life and Christian fellowship? How does that work itself out practically in the local church and in our individual lives?

If we had to write down a prayer for Church on the Way, what would it say? Explain why you would pray that way. Would the prayer arise from a deep affection for your brothers and sisters in Christ?
