Learning On The Way
Have there been times when you found your identity in something other than Christ? What are the things you tend to find your identity in, outside of Christ? What are the truths that remind you that your identity is in Christ? How does finding your identity in Christ motivate you to pursue holiness and serve others?
Would you say your life is generally lived “to the praise of His glorious grace” or do other pursuits characterize your life? Do you find more fulfillment living for God’s glory or your own purposes? What are some things you can do to ensure you are living for God’s glory and not your own?
Do you only hang around the people that are similar to you or do you serve, disciple, and love people with whom, outside of unity in Christ, you have nothing in common? What steps can we take to ensure we are unified in Christ more than we are unified in worldly categories? How can we strengthen the unity of our local congregation around Christ and the gospel?
What do you think it means for us to be God’s inheritance? How does that give you confidence to serve sacrificially and faithfully? Does this truth motivate you to make disciples? If so, how? If not, why not?
